Dr. Olusunmisola Oyesiku, often referred to as “Dr.O”, is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician and Women’s Health specialist, with over 10 years of medical experience in the USA and abroad.
She graduated from medical school at Windsor University School of Medicine, St Kitts, obtained her MSc in Women’s Health and Reproductive Science at University College London, UK, and then completed her Family Medicine Residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Selma Family Medicine, Alabama. She is an active member of the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).
Dr Oyesiku is currently a Senior Public Health Physician at the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH). She works as a Medical Officer at the Department of Family Health Services and also functions as the District Health Officer for the East & West Central Public Health Districts for ADPH. Prior to this, she worked as a Primary Care Provider, Mobile Contraception Clinic Coordinator and Chief Medical Officer at Rural Health Medical Program Inc in Selma, Alabama.
Dr. Oyesiku is passionate about women, adolescent & community health. She enjoys baking, gardening & event planning. She loves to organize & facilitate community outreach events and give health talks on various chronic medical conditions and community health related issues.
