Shannon Masic is the Regional EMS Education Training Coordinator for the Georgia Office of EMS and Trauma, where she partners with instructors, program directors, and preceptors to strengthen EMS education statewide. She leads initiatives that build instructor capacity, develops preceptor and instructor curricula, and supports programs in meeting compliance and accreditation standards. Her role allows her to blend oversight with mentorship, equipping educators with tools to succeed and ensuring students are prepared to serve their communities with excellence.
With more than a decade of experience in emergency medical services, Shannon has worked as a paramedic, instructor, program director, and senior leader. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Paramedicine from Central Washington University and continues to focus her work on curriculum innovation, educator development, and workforce readiness. Passionate about bridging the gap between EMS instruction and broader education practices, she is currently developing instructor growth opportunities modeled after proven professional development strategies in K–12 and higher education.
Outside of her professional role, she enjoys creative projects, event planning, and spending time with her family. She is honored to join the Region IV Public Health and Primary Care Leadership Institute to expand her leadership skills and contribute to strengthening both EMS education and the public health workforce across Georgia and beyond.
