Thomas Lawler is the Portfolio Manager for the Office of Data Modernization & Governance at the South Carolina Department of Public Health (SCDPH). He holds an MBA from Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business and a BA in Political Science from NC State University. Thomas is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO). He also has a graduate certificate in Non-profit Management from the University of Texas.
With experience across various industries, Thomas has led cross-functional teams and managed large-scale projects. His current focus is on aligning projects with organizational goals, fostering teamwork, and promoting continuous improvement within the Office of Data Modernization & Governance.
Thomas has served on several boards of directors of non-profit organizations and has been involved in different community service projects, supporting various causes.
Outside of his professional life, Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife, Patti. They share a love for travel and have visited numerous countries together, exploring different cultures and cuisines. Thomas is also an avid fan of NC State athletics, the Atlanta Braves, and the Carolina Panthers. He finds relaxation in fishing and spending time at the beach.
