Tana-kae Lewis RN, MSN, is the Perinatal Coordinator for Region 1 at the Alabama Department of Public Health. She is a dedicated wife and a mother of two, actively engaged in her community. Tana-kae serves on multiple fatality review boards across the State and co-chairs the March of Dimes Mom and Baby Action Network (MBAN). She is also a member of the National Advisory Committee for MBAN.
Passionate about improving birth outcomes for mothers and babies, Tana-kae oversees the Fetal and Infant Mortality Review Program and addresses social determinants of health. She believes that eliminating health inequities and removing barriers to healthcare access are essential to reducing poor birth outcomes and fostering a healthier Alabama.
