Rebekah Smay completed her undergraduate degree in Sociology with a track of Family Studies at Albright College. Rebekah also holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Alabama, and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and has been employed with the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) since November 2015. She provided case management services for over five years before promoting to Public Health Social Worker, Supervisor. Rebekah served as ADPH’s Early Head Start Program Manager before transitioning to her current role of Title X Social Work Supervisor and Well Woman Social Work Consultant. Rebekah is the ADPH board member for First 5 Alabama and is a member of the Alabama Maternal Mortality Review Committee. Her current focus is on Maternal and Child Health programs.
