Shatiqua Jamerson has over 20 years of combined experience in public health, specializing in program development, administration, and grants management. She completed a dual B.S. degree program in Community Health and Health Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and her Master of Science in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Health from Middle Tennessee State University. She excels in building solid, trusting relationships with community resources, internal and external groups, and local, state, and national partners. As a Program Manager and Director, Shatiqua has successfully analyzed and managed multimillion-dollar budgets, schedules, grant work plans, staffing requirements, and general program tasks, ensuring the comprehensive orchestration of all facets of ongoing program operations. She is adept at developing and writing grant proposals for federal, state, and private-sector (foundation) grants.
Shatiqua’s broad experience in public health education has included managing state- and county-wide health initiatives, developing curricula, and overseeing programs that address diabetes, hypertension, childhood obesity, general health and wellness, nutrition counseling for pregnant women and new mothers, and public health advocacy in oral health.
