As the Director of Strategy & Operational Excellence for the new SC Department of Public Health (established in July 2024), I’m responsible for overseeing and directing the development of the agency’s strategic plan, development of goals, objectives, and measures for the agency, and monitoring and improving the agency’s performance. I’ve worked for the former SC Department of Health and Environmental Control for 20 years serving in various capacities related to community engagement, environmental justice, organizational development, process improvement, and strategic planning.
I am a Certified Public Manager and am a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. I’m currently working towards a certificate in Results-Based Accountability.
As a native South Carolinian, my love for my state extends from the coast to the mountains. I grew up in the Lowcountry, moved to the Upstate to attend Furman University, and now live in the Midlands with my husband and two daughters. I am passionate about serving and making a difference for my state. I am truly looking forward to learning with and from my fellow colleagues of the newest PHPC LI cohort!
