My name is Jackson Stump. I am the On-site Wastewater Program Coordinator for Burke County Environmental Health. Due to the rural setting of Burke County, I am authorized in multiple areas as we have very few environmental health specialists per capita.
I am a western North Carolina native having lived in Burnsville, Hendersonville, Asheville, and now Morganton, which I have called home since 2017. I earned my bachelor’s degree in environmental science from UNC Asheville and worked for a number of years in aquaculture.
I have a desire for bettering our department through new technology, new equipment, and new best practices which has been supported by our health director. My career goal is to one day be a leader for Burke County Environmental Health.
