Casey Baker

Tobacco Prevention Health Educator
Northern Kentucky Health Department
Florence, Kentucky

I’m just a Kentucky gal living out her dreams of helping others! I obtained my bachelor’s in psychology and my master’s in public health (with a focus on Health Systems and Policy Analytics) from the University of Kentucky. I previously worked at the Center of Drug and Alcohol Research at the University of Kentucky for five years working on projects (JCOIN, CJKTOS, SUD, JEAP) that centered around improving substance use programs within the Kentucky Department of Corrections. Although I thoroughly enjoyed working in substance use research, I really wanted to be out with my community. This is what led me to accepting my position as a Substance Use Prevention Health Educator at the Northern Kentucky Health Department in January 2024. Outside of work, you can find me dabbling in arts and crafts, reading a book by the pool, traveling to a new city, or watching Greys Anatomy for the hundredth time.
