Brianna Halliwell, a native of the Big Island of Hawai’i, has seamlessly blended her island roots with a robust career in public health. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Health Studies from Berea College in Berea, KY, and went on to achieve a Master of Public Health (MPH) with honors, specializing in Health Promotion. Brianna is also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), underscoring her commitment to professional excellence in her field.
Beginning her career as a Health Educator for the Department of Public Health in the Upstate of South Carolina, Brianna has dedicated herself to addressing the unique health needs of her community. Her notable achievements include founding and leading two community coalitions focused on behavioral health, injury prevention, and chronic disease management. These initiatives aim to drive meaningful policy, system, and environmental changes to enhance public health.
In her personal life, Brianna enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, and spending time outdoors with her rescue pup. Her diverse interests and passion for adventure reflect her commitment to living a balanced and fulfilling life.
